Microsoft is limiting the storage space of the SkyDrive to 7 GB and the existing users of Live service can upgrade for free to 25 GB within limited time span only. If users don’t upgrade to 25 GB then their storage of SkyDrive will be limited to 7 GB.
As the existing users login to their SkyDrive they will be prompted free upgrade and the current Storage will be shown as 7 GB. SkyDrive is also offering Storage Space plans up to 100 GB. Microsoft is planning something big as the market is already having DropBox which also offers space in cloud for your data. So it’s now up on users how they make comparison between the Cloud Services available freely and what to choose among them.
Check out the snap shots from my SkyDrive as I upgraded to free 25 GB Storage space:
As you will upgrade to 25 GB you’ll get following status message:
So kindly hurry to grab this free upgrade as it is available for limited time only.
