He will be retiring from post of CEO and initiation process for the same has also started. Ballmer will remain CEO until the next CEO is named. Microsoft is waiting for its successor. Next Microsoft CEO has started voting for the next Microsoft CEO. Currently Scott Hanselman is at no. 1 in the competition.
