Microsoft released Forefront Endpoint Protection 2012 Beta which will improve endpoint protection in addition to greatly reducing the infrastructure costs. Forefront Endpoint Protection is build on System Center Configuration Manger which allows customers to implement endpoint protection as a part of unified infrastructure for securing and managing physical, virtual, and mobile client environments. There are some new features added as:
- Support for System Center Configuration Manger 2012,
- Role based administration
- More efficient delivery of security updates
