Enable Hidden Calendar and Lock Screen in Windows 10
Everybody is tasting the newly released Technical Preview of Windows 10 build 9926 but there are still lots of features which are about to come or hidden. Two of such hidden features are unlocked using registry editor. One of them is the new Calendar and clock, and other is new styled Lock Screen with new Icons and visuals. Let’s have a look how to enable both features in Windows 10 with the help of registry editor. Follow the simple steps shown below.
For How to enable Calendar in Windows 10:
- Open Registry Editor by typing regedit.exe in Run Dialog box. (Win Key + R > regedit.exe > Press enter).
- Navigate to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell“
- Create a new “Dword (32-bit) value” and name it as “UseWin32TrayClockExperience”.
- It’s default value is “0”. Leave it as it is and click on Clock on System Area. You’ll see the new Calendar and Clock.
For How to enable new Lock Screen with hidden visuals in Windows 10:
- Open Registry Editor by typing regedit.exe in Run Dialog box. (Win Key + R > regedit.exe > Press enter).
- Navigate to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Authentication\LogonUI\TestHooks”
- Change the value of key “Threshold” to “1“.
- Either Lock (Press Win Key + R) or Sign out your system to see the new Lock Screen with new Icons in effect.
