How to enable XPS Viewer in Windows Server 2008 R2

How to enable XPS Viewer in Windows Server 2008 R2

XPS i.e. XML Paper Specification is the specification given to XPS documents with the extension .xps file format. When we save any file in the printing format in Windows then the file so created is XPS file, which can be viewd only in XPS viewer. In Windows Server 2008 R2 by default it is off and we have to add the features of XPS viewer to the Windows.  For this follow some simple steps:

Open Server Manger from TaskBar or Start Search:

Server Manager

Go to Features category and click on Add Features:

Add Features - Server Manager

Choose XPS Viewer and check it, click on Next:

XPS Viewer - Add Features- Server Manager

Confirm the Selection and click on Install:
Confirm Selection - Install - Server Manager

Close- Server Manager

Close the Dialog Box, XPS viewer is installed successfully and can be used to view any .xps file format documents. Stay Connected for more Tips.
