Windows 8 RTM in August first week and General Availability in October
Windows 8 RTM (Release To Manufacturing) will be final in first week of August and general availability of the same will be seen in month of October. Tami Reller made the announcement for the Windows 8 RTM during her Keynote on Lighting Up Windows 8. She is Chief Financial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer of the Windows and Windows Live division in Microsoft. Worldwide Partner Conference is live now and will go on till July 12th.
Lots of other new announcement will be made in this Conference. Microsoft also confirmed that devices based on Windows 8 like Surface tablet, Desktops and Laptops will be coming in late October. Users all over the world are having their hands on Windows 8 Release Preview whose build no is 8400.
