World’s Fastest Supercomuter with 20 Teraflops by IBM

As per an agreement of IBM, is going to make two new supercomuters for the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) based on future BlueGene technology. One of which being dubbed Sequoia is having ultimate specification with 1.6 million cores, 1.6 petabytes of memory, 96 racks and 98.304 computer nodes. According to a glance over its working, what 6.7 billion people on earth does with a hand calculator while working continously 24×7 for 320 years this supercomuter performs the same in just in one hour only. This supercomputer is set for its delievery in 2010 while its deployment went off to 2012.
